Department Ethos
The Physical Education Department offers a diverse range of physical activities in core PE lessons. Students are taught the skills needed in physical activities, the skills required to work successfully in teams and the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle.
The Department is passionate about providing students with the opportunities to try physical activities that they enjoy, so they can be involved in sport long after they leave school.
Students are taught the importance of fair play at all times and the value of adhering to the 'growth mindset', which incorporates a purposeful practice and resilience in the face of adversity.

Students will take part in interhouse competitions at the end of every term. The sports are, rugby, netball, football, hockey and athletics in the summer. Students will also have the opportunity in KS3 to take part in the annual decathlon and octathlon.
