After what has been a very difficult year, there were tears of joy and laughter when our students opened their A Level results envelopes and many of them have achieved their first-choice university place. Despite the very abrupt ending to their high school careers, students have remained cheerful and optimistic about the fact that their grades have been predicted and that they have been unable to prove themselves in an exam room. As a school, we are delighted that they can now move forward into the next phase of their lives and we wish them all the very best for the future.

Headteacher Miriam Oakley commented “I could not be prouder of our students!  Throughout their time at Sherburn, they have shown determination and resilience.  They deserve the excellent grades they received today and I look forward to learning about their future successes!”

Head of Sixth Form Dan Kirby commented “What an amazing group of young adults. They worked so hard throughout their time in our Sixth Form, and it was so nice to celebrate their successes and some incredible next steps with them today. They will be sorely missed and will always be a part of our Sixth Form family - good luck and keep in touch!”
