Groupcall Xpressions App
View your child's school information on your mobile phone!
An exciting new service is now available for parents to ensure communication between the school
and parents is easier and more effective. Groupcall Xpressions is created by the award-winning school
communication company Groupcall Limited.
The app is completely free of charge to you and can be installed on your mobile phone or tablet, it can also be accessed from a PC or Laptop. It currently supports both Apple iOS and Android devices (with Windows mobile to follow) and you'll be able to see information for your children.
If you have children in different schools and those schools also use Groupcall Xpressions, you will be able to
view information on multiple children within the same app.
What do Parents need to do now?
Please download the APP on to your device or visit https://xpressions.groupcall.com to setup your account.
You will be required to enter the following in this order:
• Your Email Address - Required to log in to the app
• Your Mobile Phone Number - Required to log in to the app
• The security code that will be sent to your device via SMS
• Enter a Password - This is used to gain access to the app if you sign out
• Enter a PIN number - This will be used if you lock the app
If you have trouble setting up your account with your email address or mobile number, please contact the School
on 01977 682442 to ensure we have your correct mobile number and email address on our school database.
You can also email your updated details to the school at email@example.com.
You'll need to make sure you keep these details up-to-date in future to maintain access to the service.
What happens next?
Once installed and set up you will be able to see some or all of the following information depending on the school's system:
• Receive messages sent by the school delivered directly to the app via Push Notifications
• See Achievement records for the academic year
• See your Son / Daughter's Timetable - by subject, full timetable, by date
• See Behaviour listed for your son/daughter

I’m not receiving school emails
Emails may not be coming to your inbox due to spam and / or filtering rules. Add your child’s school email address to the Safe Senders List / set up a spam filter. Incoming mail sent from addresses and domain names in this list are never treated as junk email and are shown in your inbox regardless of the content.
The email address differs depending on which school your child attends. It is made up of your school’s Local Education Authority (LEA) number and the Department of Education and Skills (DFES) number, followed by ‘@groupcallalert.com‘. Sherburn High School's is 8154216
See below for help based on your email provider:
Hotmail / Outlook
Sign in to your Hotmail / Outlook mail account
At the top of the page to the right, click the gear icon. This will open a menu on the right of the screen. Select View All Outlook Settings from the bottom of the expanded menu.
In the left hand menu make sure you have Email highlighted and Junk email is selected.
You will see various sections such as Blocked Senders, Blocked Domains, Safe Senders and Safe Mailing Lists.
To add an entry to Safe Senders, enter your child’s school’s email address and click the Add button next to the text box.
Select Save to save your changes.
It is possible that you may have the email address in your Blocked Senders or Blocked Domains list. If this is the case, please remove the email address or the email domain (@groupcallalert.com) from the list.
Sign in to your Gmail account on the Google website.
In the top left corner of your page, click the Gmail menu and choose Contacts.
Create a new contact within your contacts with the following details and click save.
Sign in to your Yahoo account on the website.
In the top right corner click the Settings icon with the Cog and select More Settings within the menu.
In the left hand menu, select Filters and click Add new filters.
Enter a name for the filter - in this case it is called Sherburn High School Alert Emails.
In the pull-down menu next to From, ensure contains is selected and enter the email address as in the image below.
In the pull-down menu next to Then move the message to this folder, select Inbox.
Click Save to save your changes.
