Post 16 Education
Post-16 Education at Sherburn offers a varied range of courses
for those wishing to extend their learning beyond the age of
16.
Our
curriculum leads to nationally recognised Advanced (Level 3)
and “Improvers” (Level 2) qualifications.
Where possible, we aim to tailor our timetable to the demands
of individual
students.

We
provide additional opportunities to allow students to broaden their
profiles and to extend their skills in order to equip them effectively
for later life.
Many students contribute significantly to the school and the broader
community during their time with us.
Being an 11 to 18 school means that students can accept positions
of responsibility and provide role models for younger students.
In addition a Post-16 student can benefit from many of the activities
and facilities provided for the rest of the school.
Our success is built on a three way partnership, with the individual
student at the centre supported in their studies by both home and
school. Time is invested in individual tutorial support and personal
guidance.
Although we are a Specialist Science College we are also a comprehensive
school delivering a broad and diverse Post 16 curriculum.
