Students
study either French or German in Year 7 and the more able have
the opportunity to study a second language in Years 8 & 9.
At GSCE we offer both French and German and are examining Vocational
GCSEs which include a language option. Conversational Spanish
is also available as a non-GCSE.
Post 16 courses
include AS and A2 French and German. As the 14-19 Framework Strategy
comes on stream we hope to offer other language linked courses
to appeal to today’s youngsters.
School trips
often remain fond memories and we offer currently two visits abroad,
in Year 8 to France
or Germany and
in Year 10/11 to Germany. These experiences do so much to develop
students’ minds and allow them to explore the wider world.
