Friends of Sherburn High School

The Parent Teacher Association is known as Friends of Sherburn High School (FOSH).

The aim of the Association is to support the School during events and to raise additional funds to help pay for items to which the School budget cannot stretch.

Any parent with a child currently attending School is invited to join FOSH. As well as parents, the group includes a number of teachers and a representative from the School leadership team.
 

Meetings are held twice a term in the Conference Room near the Main Office and last about an hour. They are a great opportunity to meet other parents and staff and to be involved in supporting the School.

Our incredibly popular and hilarious Call My Bluff Wine Tasting Night has run for several years and is well supported by staff and parents. The most recent one raised a record £1200.

FOSH are currently working with the School to organise a Summer Fair to be held on Saturday 30th June 2012.

Requests from departments are considered on merit and recently FOSH has funded:

Music (keyboards) £800

Geography (AEGIS software) £650

Maths (calculators & software) £300

Technology (catering equipment) £120

Community Christmas Lunch £100

We are always pleased to welcome new members and appreciate any new ideas or offers of support.
